Busy Monday

What a busy day... I wonder why I haven't gone to the store to buy beer. Oh yeah... yesterday's hangover has sort of ground that one to a halt for the time being.

With Lee already scheduled to be away, the call at 8:40am from Devin was a tad disheartening. Unfortunately, his Mom, back in Quebec, had fallen ill over the weekend and was admitted to an Intensive Care Unit and Devin was unsure what her status was... so, as he should, he left for home today.

Fortunately, it's only the 6th of March... unfortunately, the gray area which is timing of my Mini-Me's return is hazy coming up to the major March 31st annual deadline for a lot of our major customers. We have a pretty good guess that Devin will be away for this week for sure... the next is where we're flippin' coins. I can't be too sure, but for everyone's sake... including his mother's... that it's soon. He does need a little more practice before we get into crunch time.

So, in essence... today was a tad hectic. I really didn't know if I was coming or going this morning and it was until after 10am did I know where I was gonna sit in the office and what I was gonna do. It really didn't help that one of my clients decided to make up some filings as they went along that really didn't make any sense whatsoever. Not a big deal though... since they were in a big rush for them to get done, we're charging them through the nose for the effort. Woo hoo!!

Today shouldn't be quite so bad... unless everyone wants to start throwing new shit in my inbox. Tuesday is generally one of the more busy days in the EDGAR room... but at least Lee will be about. I have thus far this year converted over 3000 pages of Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF documents. It's gonna be a productive year...
