Bottled Ordeal

Oh man... I didn't want to get up this morning. Crikey! I coulda slept for quite a while this morning. Maybe I should put my head down now and sort that out... ha ha!

Well, I kinda bottled on the goin' and meeting that girl from OKCupid.com... I did give her cell phone a ring when I left work and to my shock horror, it was quite a scary sounding, unenthusiastic voice that came over the voice mail message. I have to say, that didn't sit well with me. I was so shocked, in fact, that I hung up right away the first time. I did call back, to try again... but again, got the voice mail message, but this time left a voice mail. Still, I bottled out... just couldn't bring myself to say that I was still up for going out.

Instead, I called up Benny and we agreed to meet up at the Wildfire to watch the hockey games on TV. I ran home first, got my jersey on and printed a few more sign-up sheets for our before heading to the pub.

Image hosted by Photobucket.comAnd looky, looky!! I have a copy of the pub's logo, finally... well, I thought that would be mildly important to have on the sign-up sheets, posters and possibly the rules. Now I can really go to town with a lot of the promo stuff that I can do for them. Maybe one of these days, I'll get myself to animate that GIF file and make it look really cool for all the web applications.

But sorry, I got a little distracted by fancy pictures... yeah... I met Benny at the pub hoping for the /Blue Jackets game... instead, the Top Prospects Game was on.. Now I have a certain love of the juniors, but I looked at the rosters for that game before leaving work yesterday and to be honest, there wasn't very many players I wanted to watch, so an NHL game would have been tops... hence the excitement for Detroit/Columbus. Nevertheless... the pub seemed to have lost their freebie of NHL Centre Ice, much like we did at the house, so we had to wait 'til 6pm for the Toronto/Minnesota game... which if I knew was coming on, I would have worn my Wild jersey instead. Instead, I still had my Blue Jackets jersey on and since Benny is a Wings fan, it was sort of worth it.

I wasn't at the pub too late last night... my tab was $20 with a tip, so that was pretty reasonable. I also had 24 over-cooked chicken wings too, since it was wing night. So, I got home just before 9pm... helped Dad with his new PayPal account and plugged in From Hell. From Hell was on TV last night, but why and sit through all the commericials when you have the DVD in your room, right? Right.

Finished that off... and pretty much hit the hay for the night... which brings me pretty much to here, since I already mentioned the not wanting to get up part.

Today, I don't know what to expect work-wise... I have a project currently on the go, that same big one I had going yesterday.

Oh yeah... you know what I forgot?!? I forgot my hell at the bank yesterday!!

So yeah... when I was trying to sort out all the information on my loans and such yesterday, I called up CitiFinancial about the loan to cover my student loan. They told me that they wanted to have all my car information so they could put a lean on it in regards to my loan. I thought to myself... 'well, that's rubbish...'

Extra curiously, I went to the bank to find out what the hell was goin' on. Why, in fact, did my account actually go to a collection agency... since my last payment was actually done on November 30, 2005. Yeah, that's right... not even 2 months ago.

I talked to a really nice lady at the branch of Scotiabank and she couldn't find anything to support the claim that my account should have been moved and neither could her manager, Canada Student Loans had no problem... this was just a terrible, terrible mistake.

Needless to say, they got my account out of the hands of the Collection Agency, gave me a number to call to check my credit rating doesn't take a shit kicking and well... sort of neglected to apologize... but the deal was pretty much done. I avoided paying some seriously high interest rates and having a lean on my car somewhere else... so that's the main thing.

So, that's pretty much it... I better get goin' here. Should be workin' soon.

Surfed in via BloggerSwap although I have visited your site via BlogExplosion too. I am surprised to find no BloggerSwap code on many of the member pages. I thought it was a requirement.
