Last Night's Review
Bryan Adams in Calgary... what a fantastic show.
Despite the flack I'll get for going to see the show, I tell ya, it was totally worth it. What an absolutely awesome performer and well, the library of songs that everyone hates to love was done and performed like it was done the very first time.
I went into town with Ron & Suzanne... they had tickets to the show as well and they were leaving Langdon at the same time, so I caught a ride with them. They were sitting in Section 227, the back corner of the Saddledome and I was sitting in Section 222... which was pretty much right beside the stage. Section 222, Row 2, Seat 1... it was just back far enough that I could see the entire stage at a real good angle and was still close enough to watch the stage for most of the performance instead of watching the giant screens or the Jumbotron.
It sounded just absolutely awesome... the music was as clear as a bell and Bryan's scratchy voice was as clear as you could ever have wanted... it was almost CD quality in the 'dome last night. Just fantastic.
He played almost everything as well... the only one song that I really wanted to hear that he didn't was, To Really Love A Woman. In his 5-song acoustic encore, I was really hoping he'd pull out the Spanish Guitar and do it, but that wasn't going to be the case. Oh well... he did pretty much everything else.
Here's also another review from CANOE.ca... the only thing that myself and this review disagrees on is the opening act, Daniel Powter. He was certainly missable. A very Maroon 5 sound with a Chris Martin look... didn't really do much for me.

Daniel Powter kicked huge ass! I didnt see much of his show but I heard the whole thing, and loooooved it. The suprise for me came when "bad day" was played. I didnt know who that crappy song was by... But the rest was GREAT!
