Do You Want A Meal?

Although it's Thursday, I still don't see light at the end of the week-long tunnel. I think that's because I have still this big ass client to deal with all day today and then a panic-stricken day tomorrow. I can forsee the panic... my black cup of coffee sees the future. It also says I'm gonna have to piss alot today too.

I am now taking my excitement-o-meter down a few notches... just making sure I don't overdo it at all of late. Last night, prime example... the most exciting thing I did was check on Lex, Rob and Michelle's cat, and exercise the tube on Rob's 57" TV with sports. As the good friend that I am, I felt that exercising the TV is the least I could do... oh yeah... and keep the cat fed too.

Today in Calgary, it'll be a high of 6 degrees... which apparently will happen in the next hour or two and then drop down to 2 degrees this afternoon. There's a chance of rain and/or flurries this afternoon, which EVERYONE is looking forward to. Rrrrright.

I got the credit limit increased on my credit card today... that may just save me from getting a loan for a car... 'cuz it's practically the same thing anyways. I'm just gonna find myself something half-decent, get some winter tires and a CD player, if it's needed and call it gravy. This car thing has to happen.

The sad fact of life is now coming upon me... Dad is getting old. He's slowly crawling into his old man ways... riding in the car every morning with him gives me insight into his aging process. The guy pushes more buttons and turns more dials in his unquenchable thirst for comfort. Temperature & noise pollution are his two biggest concerns... the heater/AC buttons are pushed several times to adjust the climate six ways from Tuesday in just a 30 minute drive... and the volume control knob will eventually fall out the amount of times it's up and down, between the news, traffic & useless banter on Jack FM to the supposed iPod selected tracks of programming, some get turned up and others way down.

Please... and mark this Blog entry as "for the record," if I ever get this bad... shoot me. This is only the beginning... but its enough to warrant a "shoot me" label. I swear, my Dad's arch-nemesis is the Asian lady who works the microphone at the McDonald's drive-thru every morning. I honestly think that he thinks that she's out to drive him nuts. Poor guy... he probably never saw it coming either.

Well, I better get cracking... maybe when I get totally fed up, I'll come back on here and let you know what sort of madness I have reached.
