News Today
An early afternoon post because I am sitting with nothing to do at my desk. Blog away, my friend, blog away.
The morning went by really quickly... I have my MP3 player back and I put on both the New Pornographers and Nine Inch Nails discs on there... 5,143 songs... then just now, I put on the High Contrast remix of the White Stripes' Blue Orchid... 5,144 songs. Woo hoo! Has anyone else heard that remix yet? It's pretty wicked and I'm not much for the Drum & Bass genre of music, but I'll take this one. If anyone wants it, contact me on Messenger (belial74@hotmail.com) and I'll do my best to pass that one on. Finally, I'll give something back for reading the Blog... although it may be classified as "file sharing." Hmmmm... forget I said that... wink, wink.
Uh-oh, there's a new e-mail that came in... oh... Lee is gonna take this one. I can still Blog! Yay!
Let's see what's in the news today... CBC.ca headline is... (drum roll)
"Mike Brown resigns as emergency agency head"
Well, I don't really know a great deal about all this except for what I heard from other people complaining about this guy. If a report published said that he couldn't perform basic duties in an emergency though, it seems to me that he really shouldn't be the head of any organization, period... not the Emergency Agency for New Orleans or FEMA for that matter. Just seems to me to make some sense.
Toronto Film Festival is in Full FlightThis is just a blatant reason to post a picture of Keira Knightley. Quite possibly I could just gush about her... it's easy to do... my goodness.
I should gush a bit, since I don't really want to start another headline beside her picture... it really isn't fair. Especially if I find a nasty-ass headline. In no way, shape or form should I incoporate her loveliness with anything horrid. I could prosecuted among some group of people for that sort of thing, I'm thinkin'.
Hmmm... I guess all my ranting and raving about the headline and such moved it all past... so I don't really have to gush... but I will.
HOT!
Okay, what's next... CNN.com... oh... it's the same headline. Fudge.
BBC.co.uk...
"Triumphant England Reclaims Ashes"
Hey, congrats to England and it's Cricket team on the Ashes win... obviously a great time for English sport. It's a shame that they drew to win the series, but a win is a win, right? I was hoping for the likes of Flintoff, Pietersen, Trescothick and Strauss would have been a lot bigger with the bat, but with Warnes bowling out of skin, it's no wonder it was so close.
Well, this post was a little time coming... I did do some more work when it came in between. So, maybe I'll leave it at that...
But the weather here, for my English mates... this morning it was +4 here in Calgary when I shoved off to work... only a high of +10 (that's London's low, according to BBC.co.uk). You see why I wore shorts all the time over there?

Keira looks like a younger Winona Ryder pre-painkillers and shoplifting, don't you think? :)
