Another Day... Another Job
Good morning everyone... 20 to 7am this morning and my large cup of coffee is my writing buddy as I come to you before leaving the house this morning to start the new job.
I'll start the new job with Filing Services Canada today, which I'm looking forward to. Fingers crossed that I don't find these guys to be Muppets or any other cartoon TV show equivalents... and there definitely isn't any real physical activity to re-injure my ankle, so really, I'm only hoping for one thing.
Today, I'll also have to call into Impact Security and tell John the bad news, I guess. I'm gonna try and meet him for a beer sometime soon... that'd be a good idea. I could at least buy the guy a beer or two for the opportunity he tried to give me. I don't wanna seem wholly unappreciative.
I didn't write a great deal over the weekend, 'cuz frankly, there wasn't a great deal to write about over the weekend. For a Labour Day long weekend, it was dead slow. I never really made it down to the bar for a drink, nor did I really get all that drunk. I bought a 12-pack on Friday and another on Monday... and there is still beer left. Where's the fun in that?
I was mostly writing on my hockey pool Blog... at least there was something I could write about and kill some time with. I watched quite a bit of the US Open Tennis, the Stamps/Eskimos game... I think that was it for sports on TV. Otherwise, I tried to stay outside for as much as possible, as it's the dying days of summer.
Speaking of which, the thermometer outside says it's only +4 degrees outside. It's still techinically summer and my appropriate temperature for wearing shorts (+8) probably won't be hit until before noon. Damn! September is in the air in Calgary... whatever are we gonna do?
Well, I best be off... my cup of coffee needs a refill before we take off for the city. Later!
