First Day Yesterday

Well, I got a good taste of work yesterday... and it wasn't too bad. Driving around Calgary in the car all day wasn't too bad. Checked out one alarm, dropped off some papers and stuff to certain points, patrolled a few parking lots... and it was bloody gorgeous out all day.

The best thing about it was... I got to go home early and I was in time to play ball last night! Woo hoo. The boss, John, was heading back to Langdon anyways... so I got a ride, in the Hummer H2. That's a pretty neat vehicle. It's larger than some countries inside and you certainly don't feel the speed of highway driving in it, that's for sure.

The ball game, we lost 6-1. It was a pretty good game... I was the only run, with a heads up base-running (meaning errors) home run. Wicked. I took a hot groundball off my left shin playing short last night and you can see the lace marks as it ripped up my shin pretty well. That's pretty neat. It was pretty swollen after it happened... but it's alright now.

Then it was a few drink through the neighbourhood... including a stop at Rob & Michelle's with Cory and we had a brew or two in the hot tub. Then we retired pretty early... as we have another ball game in an hour.
