What An Impact!

Well, I did it. I bloody well quit. I couldn't take the waiting anymore.

When I gave my notice, Jason said he'd go talk to Justin about letting me go before a week's notice finished up... which was fair. I would have worked today at Millennium, you know, just to be nice... but then the fucker disappeared on me and left the book wide open. Well, I stewed in it a bit and then worked it up to the point where I said, "the company called, they want me in this afternoon to start tomorrow."

Well, that was the bomb that Jason didn't want to have drop on him... I'm sure he thought that he could get a few more days work out of me and not leave a lot of stuff on the plate to have done.

Wrong.

So, he escorted me through the office as I picked up my jacket and bag and out the door I went. Without saying anything to anyone else... I was done. So, I called up Impact Security and they took me in, filled in the forms, went into Calgary to have my police check done and then I was uniformed up and done.

So, I'm dressed up at the moment and ready to get goin'. A 12-hour day today, but then into the weekend.

Unfortunately, the ball tournament starts tonight at 6:30pm... but I wouldn't have been able to make that from Millennium anyways... so now I don't feel so bad about missing that game. Corey had left a message, so I gave him a call back and he told me the time... so I cancelled. But we have two games on Saturday, so that's alright. Then there's the one game with Rob & Michelle on Sunday morning as well. So, I'll get my fill.

I was going to head to the Wildfire today to check and see what the hockey pool sign-up sheet was looking like. I guess I'll do that at some other point this weekend.

This job is gonna be weird for scheduling my days though. The shift work is gonna be a bit funny. I will be working every other weekend, I've been told. But some weeks I'll only work 2 or 3 days or something ridiculous like that. I'll have to take a good look at that schedule. But I'll be driving around ahd havin' a ball... or so I think. I'll let you know tomorrow or maybe even tonight.
