Nice & Quiet Morning

Last night, I had this desire to make some Kung Pao Chicken... and so I did. It's actually quite easy. I went and grabbed all the ingredients from Safeway and Chris brought some beers and we ate and watched the Sabres play the Canadiens. Both Chris and I were pretty impressed with the results of dinner... although it could have been just a little bit more. But it was really good to get that first time out of my system. I will do that one again. I'll also be sure to clean up the stove before I take a glorious picture of dinner again. I haven't worked in the kitchens for a while... so my presentation isn't quite on top of it's game.

I was also supposed to meet up with Gerald again last night to finally get his hockey pool sheet. Chris decided he didn't want to go with me to meet him, which would have been a bit better, 'cuz being by myself wasn't exactly the best plan. Nevertheless, I got to see Ash and she was a little more friendly last night... heck, I'm always glad to see her, so her happy to see me is a bonus. Unfortunately, Gerald was taking just a little too long for me to hang out there, in a busy place, all night to wait. So after I checked to see if Ash could get the long weekend in November off, I pretty much just jetted.

Yes, yes... I asked Ash if she could get a bit of that weekend off in November. I would like to take her to the Christmas Party, it'd be a pretty good weekend. If she is to agree to something like that, then I would think that smaller evenings leading up to it would also be a good idea. Not a bad idea. I'm sort of taking a cue from what I was saying in a previous post. She's the better bet to spend some time with and I want to really take that into consideration. Sure, I'm gonna take Barb to see the New Pornographers, but it doesn't have to mean anything. She really likes 'em, I've got the tickets... that's all it has to be. Ash said she'd text me when she knows better.

Well, I've had a couple toaster-waffles and a couple cups of coffee this morning. Jen wasn't here all night and this morning... but thankfully she took Costas with her, so I didn't have to clean up or be responsible for the little shit demon's mess. She probably spent the evening at her Dad's or something last night. She may have got the impression that I was really angry at her for the money issue this past week... which I suppose I kinda was. I was more disappointed and not interested in her transparent attempts at making things better. I don't think she really knows how to deal with money and responsibility. She'd rather try and make things up than actually pay the money back. That $60 is a write-off in my opinion. Not once did she say, 'oh I'll pay you back at such and such a time.' She'd rather say that I didn't have to hang up the Christmas lights. Big whoop. You're not gonna make me do something, which I'll probably end up doing for her anyways.

She's a twisted individual, this one. No matter, I've had a wonderful evening and morning... so it can't be all bad.

Well, I should finish up this post, get in the shower and take off for Langdon. I'll try and give Randy a call as well. I should go see him this afternoon if I can. Also... Alan. Shit... I need to give him a call as well. I did give him a sheet, after all. See... I've got lots to do today. I should get on it... Hockey Night In Canada starts at 4:30pm... so off I go!
