Collection and Confusion
Is it lunch time yet? I haven't eaten since lunch yesterday. Sadly it only just clicked over 10:30am... it's still at least an hour before I'd feel comfortable taking that walk down to Subway for a sandwich. Or... maybe I'll have some ravioli now. Mmmmm... that's an idea. I am THAT hungry.
Yeah, that's what I'll do... just hold on a sec and I'll write the real part of this post.
*On hold music*
In retrospect, I did have something to eat last night. I went for a couple post-beer pieces of pizza. I wonder why I was so hungry then. Hmmm... strange. Well, not only did I make the ravioli... I ate it as well. Didn't really feel like eating and typing at the same time... so I'm not.
Well, since hockey is in gear now, it's really no surprise that I've been watching as much as possible. The two games on Wednesday and another two last night, including the Canucks win over Detroit. Hoorah! I had to race home last night to catch the game... and spot Jen $60 for rent, but that's another story.
Yeah, I spent three of the four games up at the Yardhouse, another less-than-surprising fact. I sat and drank with Gerald and Krista last night. Gerald has been having trouble submitting his sheet for the hockey pool lately. I still don't have it... as a matter of fact.
It's been rather taxing trying to collect the last of the sheets for the pool. I will then have to try the task of collecting all the money as well. That should be just as fun. I do have some money and everyone who has paid is marked down as so. That's really what has been taking up quite a bit of time. It's still been quite quiet at work lately, so I've had time to develop the website and stuff like that.
What else has been going on? Hmmmm... Barb was supposed to be free yesterday, but ended up not... she had to look after her Grandmother's house for an electrician or plumber... something like that... to come around between the hours of too early and too late. In the end, she didn't call me back, although I left a message, saying what was going on. I was sort of disappointed... well, actually quite disappointed. Ah well... it really just sort of sucks. It's a good thing it's hockey season or there might be a drop in my spirits.
I haven't really tried anything new with Ash... I kind of put her away in my mind. We still chat when she works at the Yardhouse and all, but for some reason, Barb was put ahead. I can't even really reason why to myself. I really should be going after Ash, since she'll be the one with the job and the regular hours, once her money problems are sorted. She was looking fantastic last night with her hair down and a Flames jersey on. I even had to make mention to her how good she looked. Kind of a first time, she happily reminded me.
I think it's gonna try and be a quiet weekend. There's gonna be at least one trip out to Langdon, me thinks this weekend. I need to pick up a few more sheets and monies. That's pretty much it. I'm gonna try and stay in to watch the Sabres/Canadiens game tonight. I don't really fancy going out. A nice quiet one... make a good dinner or something and that'll be that. It's almost too perfect.
Oh yeah... it's gonna be a long weekend, innit? Sweet. Columbus Day in the States... not really Thanksgiving for me. Ah well... it's all good. I'll still probably find some turkey somewhere, hopefully. I should make one... but nah.
