Waiting For Something To Arrive

I have much doubt that today will be busy at all... there is one filing sitting in my inbox, which is already done. I have one filing sitting in my outbox... the same one that's in my inbox that will be sent to be proofed by the client at about 9am... just to give the impression that it took me quite a while to finish the file up. Which it didn't. In actual fact, it took me an hour... but we can't have them know that or else I'll get swamped on deadline days and well... that just wouldn't be good.

Today is also the last day of being at work in the EDGAR room alone... for who knows how long. Hideo will be here on Monday, I guess I might want to prepare the reading materials that Lee had started and make them a little more updated with our new tracking sheets and so on and so forth. That isn't a bad idea.

To celebrate today's last day of EDGAR room solitary... I put up the 2006 Arena Magazine calendar... I know I'm about 3 weeks too late, espeically for the most beautiful, Rachel Stevens, who is the feature for the month of January. Man, is she hot. Fortunately, February will bring the also lovely, Heidi Klum. So, it isn't all bad.

Yesterday was a bit of a laugher... not a great deal came in... three filings, in fact was the final total from yesterday. It's not like I actually need help around here for that. Geez, I was just crunching some numbers, as I kinda do when I'm bored... I've been at work for 127.5 hours so far this month and have only 39 hours worth of work to show for it. Yikes... that's pretty slow. Well, that's 39 hours worth of filings... I have done other bits of project work this month to keep me busy too... so, it's not all just surfing, Blogging and Civilization II.

Once I was out of the office, I went down into the core to meet Benny down at Joey's in Eau Claire. It was pretty busy in there again last night, but we were able to find ourselves a booth to sit in and watch the world go by. Julie came and joined us for a beer after she had finished her classes up at SAIT... her scathing comments and all-round bitchniness (so she self-proclaims) scared the bejeezus out of ol' Benny... who frankly, doesn't need anymore scaring from the opposite sex. Ha ha.

Floor hockey was okay last night... I was on three beers from Joey's, since we stayed there a little longer than anticipated, due to the arrival of Julie. My first few minutes in goal were pretty shaky, as I was a tad late getting to the rec centre from downtown... a lack of trains on the schedule helped that one out. I lost the first two games, but won the last two... so it was all pretty evened out. Two beers is definitely my limit before games though... last week I shined on two beers.

Then it was pretty much straight home, as I didn't feel like it was in my best interest to stop into the pub... and as I passed by it, there wasn't many cars in the lot anyways, so home was definitely the best option. Was in bed for 11pm and bam! I was asleep pretty much right away.

So, here I am... bright-eyed and bushy tailed at the office this morning... waiting for something to arrive.

Oh yeah... also yesterday morning's post. Yeah, I think I was still rather inebriated in the head when I was writing that... 'cuz I did end up texting Barbara... and well, there wasn't any response at all... which does lead me to believe I did one of those "let's go overboard" kind of text messages. It had the right idea... but may have been a tad strong. Hmmmm... regret grows quickly.
