Vroom!
I would have posted a picture of my car, but it was kinda dark out when I got it and I would like to make my first picture a goodie... you know. But I do have it now... my '93 Cavalier... and it's RED. Woo hoo!
This afternoon, I'm hoping to beetle out early from work and go get it insured... then go get it registered... and then I'm off to the races! Vroom vroom! Beep beep... and all that bollocks.
Otherwise, it's been a quiet couple nights around the house. The thought of buying a car has already struck fear into my alcoholic self. How am I gonna sustain the killing of my liver when I have car expenses to worry about?? I know!! Buy beer from the liquor store again.
Actually, now I have grand dreams of getting myself back into the sporting scene now that I can make it into Calgary on my accord. I should start playing Floor Hockey with Brydon & Trevor (the two sales guys here at the office) on Sunday mornings... that alone would mean I would have to take it easy on the booze Saturday nights.
I can also go see more people in town... being stuck in Langdon hasn't really allowed me to go visit some people in town, 'cuz I don't normally invite people out to Langdon. Maybe I should have, in hindsight... oh well. This car will work marvels on my social life...
Not much else new otherwise... gotta start working on confirming a date for the Matt Good concert next week. Give Theresa one more crack at the can... if she's playing hard-to-get as I suspect, she can keep it. I hadn't seen her since Friday night when I came in for a bite after the late shift at work... so, who's to say?
Might be a bit of a quiet day here today... I'll have to finish off a filing for a client sometime early today... and I have two filings for another company sitting in the inbox this morning and then all my billing and excess paperwork for Fred today. I'm sort of hoping that Meathead actually shows up today... it just guarantees the one file that he is working on will be done and I won't be asked to work on it at all. I've seen what he does... the one client that I am finishing up was one of his files... and man, was it in rough shape after the proofs.
I thought I would finish the post with a portion of the e-mail BasilVonRazzel sent me this morning... it sure woke me up, that's for sure.

Jerri Byrne doesn't really do it for me though... she might for you, so that's why I post it. I thought Basil would like a little more incentive to visit the Tales these days.
This reminds me... I should get up to doing a few more Sherpa pics these days... I'm a little less busy with the hockey pool now, so the Photoshop should open up again for more pictures!

Congratulations on your new vehicular purchase. Godspeed...but not too dangerously fast.
Yeah, she's a little fake for me.
Why do you suck so bad at fantasy hockey? Do people actually read that other blog of yours?
Saps!
