Too Early On Saturday

I'm giving this Blog entry the Notepad treatment, since my wireless network isn't accepting the internet at the moment. One of these days, I think I might have to switch this router, because it does lick some serious balls.

It's 7:40am on Saturday morning... I decided to go to bed rather early last night. It was a very uneventful evening last night.

By 2pm yesterday afternoon however, both Ernest and Fred were gone for the day and Lee and I both required beer. Meathead didn't... apparently he has quit drinking. Good for him! So, Lee made the good point of me goin' to get some beer at the closest place, which was Star Liquor, only about a 5 minute drive. Okay!

I went and got a 6-pack of Sleeman's Cream Ale and we enjoyed a couple beers.

Hey!! Now my internet works again... after twice powering down and firing up the router and connection.

Maybe it'll last for only so long.

So yeah, had a couple beers and I didn't really wanna finish up the huge file I was working on. It wasn't to be completed until Monday afternoon anyways, so I managed to jet about 20 minutes early.

I thought I'd try and beat some of the traffic that would be about anyways to get back home.

Whoops... there it goes again. Fuckin' internet. Good thing I've decided to keep on writing in Notepad. This internet thing can't be trusted... it's only a fad, y'know.

Hey... it's back again. Rubbish!

Despite having Theresa's mobile number now, I did manage to restrain myself from doing anything too "clever" yesterday. I am supposed to give her a call when I'm heading into town to see if she's up for it, but she just had the night out on the town, I think... 'cuz it was her sister's birthday.

So, I got into Langdon... picked up a couple things from the store, including dinner and some windshield washer fluid (since the car had NONE!). Went home, let the bird out of her cage, had something to eat and then went down to the pub. There wasn't anything good on TV, so I thought that it would make for a good couple hours.

Rob had called earlier in the day saying he and Michelle won't be back in Langdon until today, so I had to go check on the house once more. Fast forward a bit... I did go to check the house, but the code to open the garage door wasn't working. Sometimes I found myself not pressing the buttons hard enough, but this time, I'm sure I did about 4 times... hopefully the kitty is okay.

At the pub last night, Marni & Brenda were working the floor... Jeff was behind the bar, so I sat up at the bar for a bit. I didn't really stay there too long. Maybe a couple hours... I only had three bottles. I couldn't say I was really chatty last night... more bored. I was giving Greg and Jeff a hard time as much as possible... but that was about it. Since I did drive down there last night, I didn't stay too long and plus, I did want to check on the house again.

So, I took off fairly early... had the problems at the house and headed home. I took the bird out of her cage again and watched a bit of TV. I realized that there was nothing on, didn't really want to sit in front of the computer at all... so I went to bed. It was about 9pm in the end. Early... I know!

And as early nights go for me... I cannot sleep through the night. I will wake up at some un-godly hour and fight myself back to sleep. Well, I stopped fighting at about 7:30am. Screw that!

So, I got up, moved my laptop upstairs, started a pot of coffee and have let Dewey out of her cage. She's currently on the back of my hand while I am typing... I'm more surprised that she hasn't bitten me to try and be a little more still so she can lick me. Granted, she has just taken a crap on my shoulder, so I guess we are even, in some Animal Kingdom way.

Today, I'll get myself ready to go probably around 10:30 or 11am. Give Theresa a call... I have much doubt she'll wanna go in with me, rather just meet in the pub come time.

Depending on what I can find at the malls today, I am thinking about goin' as the Mad Hatter or a crazy-lookin' tourist kinda fella. Something easy, not over the top... just lookin' to have a good time tonight.

It's a shame this party co-incides with Hockey Night In Canada though... so does my car install. Hmmmm... I think I'll try and find a bar with TVs to watch Coach's Corner on while everything gets installed. There are a few near the Future Shop I'm going to today.

Well, that's my day... I'm sure I'll have the camera with me tonight, so I should be able to get some decent pics tonight. I will do my best to see what I can have posted Monday... I'm not making any promises for Sunday as my situation could be dire. Anyways, a good copy & paste into Blogger and I'll be done.

Have a good day, all!!
