I Passed

Ah fuck it. Due to the lack of any comment whatsoever, be it good or bad, I have decided against making any said phone call this morning. As much as I would be pleasantly surprised if one of my admirers phoned me out of the blue, there are some people who may just become too creeped out about that sort of thing. Where is the line drawn between flattered and creeped out anyways?

Nevertheless, it wasn't done... something just wasn't right about the whole idea, although it seemed like a good one last night. Man, I can talk myself out of anything... I think.

Work has been fairly slow today... I did a few bits of paperwork that I had left behind due to the busy schedule... I will go over more of that with Fred tomorrow. There are a couple more files to go through today, but Meathead is still learning the curves over there, so I'll let him have 'em.

So, tonight I will meet up with Rob to go see the concert tonight. We'll probably meet up at Joey's or Hooters... catch a bit of one of the first games of the hockey season on TV and then head off... it sounds like a pretty good plan.

Last night, Rob and I took part in another hockey pool draft with a bunch of his buddies. That was a pretty good night. We went over to his friend, Terry's place and drafted for a few hours. There was 5 or 6 guys there and we were picking for a few on the phone as well. All quite humourous really. I brought my laptop along with my draft program and it worked a treat. It really impressed the guys and then I volunteered to look after the stats as well for the season, which they took a shining to as well. Hey, what's one more, right?

We were gonna stop at the Wildfire on the way home... I would see if I had any last shot at getting a real date for the evening, but we didn't get out of Terry's until almost midnight... and when we were finally back in Langdon, it was looking pretty dead from the outside. So we didn't actually go in.

Ah well... I'm still goin'. I'm cool with that.

Well, after the first night of hockey... the Arcade Fire... I guess the next thing to countdown to is the long weekend! Hoorah!
