Goodbye Summer...

During the last few hours of the summer season, I will spend it in the office, like most people. Mildly depressing, eh? Why can't we keep summer for another month or so? I suppose with global warming, we'll have extended summers sooner rather than later.

Yesterday was 2 weeks until both the start of the NHL season and the Arcade Fire concert and Mac Hall. Wednesday, October 5th is coming up pretty quickly... and I have yet to sort out a date for the evening. Generally when I buy tickets to a concert, I'll buy two on the hope that I'll get off my sorry ass and ask someone out. Sadly, procrastination gets the best of me most times and I just ask the first available person to come with me to the show. I'm never really disappointed, I had some good nights out with friends & mates... but c'mon, it'd be so much better to be on a date, right?

I did get some wheels in motion to correct the problem, but the axle was a tad rusty, so I'm not sure how far it'll go. I'm not really gonna divulge many details... usually I think myself into jinxing any hope, so I won't shoot my mouth (or fingertips as I'm typing, so to speak) off on the Blog.

The Arcade Fire would be a good date concert too... apparently, their fantastic live and the music is pretty easy to like. I can't wait to see them! I'm giving up on the first night of the NHL season to see 'em... and that's pretty huge. I think so, anyways.

This morning's musical treat while I'm writing is the Goldie Lookin' Chain. I'm gonna have to find their new CD on the net, 'cuz I have a feeling that I won't find in A&B Sound or Future Shop here in Calgary.

I need to start making a pot of coffee... be right back...

Allllllllrighty then. The small pot of coffee is on the go. That didn't take long, did it?

Well, I'm hoping for another busy day today. Yesterday was quite good. I had somewhat of a busy day yesterday. This morning, I have a few filings to do up and send and a couple more sitting in the inbox of my e-mail. I don't start for another 19 minutes, so I'll stay here for a little while longer.

I have a feeling that I might stay here a little later than usual this afternoon. I'm not in a big hurry to get home tonight, so I'm thinking the ride won't occur until a little later. That's alright... I should be able to find something to do in that time. I'm sure I can be back to Blogging sooner rather than later today. I'm sure the Hockey Pool Blog will need updating again here soon.

Oh yeah, I have to assemble a poster of some sorts for the Hockey Pool draft at the Wildfire for next week. Something for the sake of preparation. Greg, the manager, said to me to make up little membership or ID cards for people in the pool for an automatic 10% off your bill for the entire hockey season. Shit, it only costs $20 to get into this pool and you'll save that money in a trip or two... depending who you're drinkin' with. If Rob and I go, we'd save that in one swoop. What a great deal!

Okay... so, I think I'll close it up here... depending on what the day is like, I might come back to rant and rave about something. Then again, I just might like to chat. Who knows? Not me... that's who.
