The Art of Being Beaten Down

Good morning all... it's not very busy this morning at the office. I finished up the 2 projects I had left over in my inbox already this morning, sent a few for proofing this morning from yesterday... now I wait. And Blog. Woo hoo.

This morning, the MP3 player has been running non-stop... it's good at keeping me company. I'm already running through my 3rd album, already listening to Athlete's "Tourist" & Melissa Auf der Maur's self titled album and now Cake's "Comfort Eagle"... lovely.

I was e-mailing back and forth with Roger this morning... he's posted some new pics from everyone's excursions out at the Carling Weekends at both Reading and Leeds on Dirty Hairy Mouth. Go check 'em out... they're in the festivals section. I wish we got as many photos that both camps got this year when I was out in Leeds last year. That'd been awesome.

I went out to the Wildfire last night to try and chat with Greg about the hockey pools, but he was absolutely swamped through the night... so I grabbed a bite to eat and a few beers. Rob & Michelle happened to stop in at the pub and they sat down with me for a while.

A few beers, a few games of pool and plans to go back tonight because I never got around to chatting about the hockey pool... Greg was just so swamped and Rob & Michelle turned out to be my ride last night and I wasn't gonna pass that up, really...

So, tonight... another drink session. Woo hoo!!

More e-mailling this morning... the wise words of the WhizzleKitten...

"here's how the world works: by and large people get screwed over and don't a) know b) care and c) do anything if they know or care.

no one wins. it's a zero sum game.

it's not even the rich gettin richer. we're all lied too to the point that nuthin is true or legit. inflation 2%. GDP growing. whatever. it's all lies designed to influence some group of people to do something desired by those very very few in power. it's all lies. it's all propaganada. most people have one or two in a tight circle that are friends that that generally don't apply too BUT don't push it. loyalty doesn't exist. permanent isn't. everything's a scam setup to benefit someone who did nothing. it's all FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) raised to further the nefarious desires of someone.

the entire world sucks. this is a lousy planet. people are sheep and just simply are too stupid to notice or care. everyone is in it for themself and think they can do no wrong, are perfect, don't have to say sorry, are right, are the victim and deserve it. people are wrong. no one is entitled no matter how much your grade 2 teacher told you, "no, please, you have to read jack and jill...". the world is a crappy place where an elite few blind the masses to fund and continue their one selfish ways.

think there's truth? you can't handle the truth."

This guy should have his own Blog... sadly, he doesn't have time or attention to care for one. So, I will be the motor of his rant-mobile. This is the sort of e-mails I have to put up with most everyday... it's great.

The WhizzleKitten has perfected the art of being beaten down... I love it. One day I'm sure I'll be like that... especially if the e-mails keep coming.

I hope the weather today stays a tad dry until after lunch... I have to go for a walk and get it and it's supposed to storm all day... fingers crossed!
