Sweet Hallelujah!

February 15, 2003... my last visit to the Saddledome in Calgary for the Canucks and Flames. By the looks of things, it won't be the last NHL game I'll ever see. Thank goodness, the deal looks to be almost done. For those who won't click, TSN is reporting that the CBA could be done by the end of the day today, then to have it ratified by teams, players & board of governors before the week's out. I can't wait to start talking hockey again and not having to mention if the deal is going to be done or not.
301 days later... not exactly the best movie title in the world and I don't think this struggle is Hollywood worthy, but the anticipation for it to finish is like waiting for a bad movie to end. C'mon guys, drop the puck, eh!
On to other news. Yesterday afternoon's drinking session at the Joey Tomatoe's in the NE of Calgary was great fun. I hadn't been there before and I was told that the girls were fantastic, who worked there, of course. Sure enough, our waitress was exceptionally hot... easily the hottest one of the bunch.
The toughest thing about going to a beautiful place like that is not to fall in love. The beer doesn't help you in that department. You do your best not to have lockjaw on their ankles so they end up taking you home with them. I think that could be classed as creepy and/or illegal. I think you have to tip them more as well.
I was a bit disappointed though, we didn't catch the 'A' team of girls at JT's yesterday. I have been told that it becomes heaven in there when all the angels are out. Wow, could I sound a bit more cheezy? Nah... probably not. But this is what I've been told. JT's in downtown Calgary was quite fantastic... I'm tellin' ya Lars, you better get yourself out here soon, mate. You're missing out!
Overall, it was a good day.
The sunburn seems to be going down now. When I drunkenly fell asleep, I did take notice that I could roll around freely, with very little pain and then when I awoke this morning, I was lying in a position that I wouldn't have thought possible a couple nights ago. So, that's good news.
Waiting to hear from Julie today. She should be back from Fort St. John today. Maybe if she's about, I'll get to the Stampede or something. Oooooh. I should search for her phone number and wake her up nice and early today. Ha ha!
Pre-ordered my new Chelsea home shirt yesterday from the Chelsea Megastore online. #16, Robben & Premiership Champion badges on it... oh yeah, it's gonna look pretty sweet. The shirt itself looks really good, I must admit.
Otherwise... that's about it from me. I have more problems to sort out with my laptop and more jobs to look for. Wish me luck!
