Interview With The Sherpa

It's an interview day today here at the office. It looks like we'll have three interviews with candidates for Lee's job. It should be quite the day. We also have at least 3 more next week and one still to reschedule. There were a stack of resumes that came in when Fred & Ernest posted the job online, so hopefully we'll be able to find someone who fits the bill. As I'm to understand, Ernest and I will be the first line of questioning and then all of the good ones will come back to do another interview with Fred.

The biggest surprise is that pretty much all the candidates are female, but when the job is posted as a secretary/office administrator, you may just find that. I suppose what makes it such a big surprise is that Fred had said sometime in the past that he'd never want to hire another woman, just to avoid potential legal hassles. You know, if she wasn't doing her job, what's to stop her from crying foul when she gets let go? Let's face it... there are some people who ruin it for the rest of us. Anyways... that's why I'm surprised.

Last night was a quiet one. Finally. I committed to going to bed early with a sleeping aid around 8pm, so I was actually in bed by 9pm. Jen wasn't home last night... I do believe she was working. She just stormed into the house with her heavy feet and started calling for me for some reason. I was half asleep and didn't really care to answer. I don't know what got her panties in a knot, but she was almost panicking. She eventually stormed through my door and found me there lying in bed. I'm sure I'll hear about something later tonight.

That's if I'm home. Tom's hosting the big wrap-up party at his house tonight for the Royals. It should be a gooder. I should print off the directions to his house again, 'cuz I can't really remember if it was the second left or the third right. Anyways... it should be a bit of a gong show tonight... I've heard that there is going to be a keg at this shindig, so it could turn for the worse, if nothing. Ha ha. I'm sure there'll be lots of pictures to go around as well... I can't wait.

If all goes well this weekend, I don't think I'll have to go to the Yardhouse at all... I think I need to really take some time away from there... not like I won't be drinking a ton still, especially tonight, but hopefully it'll cost that little bit less that also has been a concern of late.
