A Chat Did The Trick

Yesterday afternoon, I was sittin' and taken some photos from the front step of the house. I thought I'd share the two best ones out of the bunch. I've been playing with a few more of the functions on my camera and some of these pictures are looking quite cool now.

Yeah, I went over to the Yardhouse for a couple last night. Ash was working behind the bar and new (and not very much liked) Amber was working the floor with her as well. Since she wasn't able to get away and do anything yesterday, it was probably a good idea to go over and chat with her for a while. I got to know her a little more, which is always a bit of a bonus. She's wanting to go back into school for PR and she wants to start working for a Real Estate company so she can sell her Mom's house and move into her own place with the commission. Apparently, her brother-in-law did something along the same lines... that's actually a pretty solid idea. We just had all sorts of discussions like that and it was all pretty laid back and easy. She'll call or text me when she knows what days she has off. That's what she says anyways... I like to keep that level of skepticism, just so I'm not overly disappointed if she doesn't.

I would like to get her out on Friday though, to the fastball wind-up party. That should be a pretty solid night. Fingers crossed.

Well, this morning is Day 1 without Lee. Still a little anxious to see what happens. I really don't want to answer the phones all day... talk about something that really sucks. If I have to change my hours... which I doubt... that would suck. There are so many variables at the moment... which we're all (all meaning the 3 of us) gonna have to chat about today, I'm sure. It's probably something we should have done before he left... 'cuz who's gonna man the phones?

Thank goodness I got lots of sleep again last night. It wasn't too bad waking up this morning. Jen told me last night that she had to be up and out the door for 7am... so, she actually got into the shower in good time and I stayed in bed until just before 7am, to get a decent shower out of the deal and it worked. I was totally impressed.

Right... 8am... better get crackin'.
