Well, the weekend of getting ditched, forgotten or changed about... it brought a couple new CDs and a few more pictures.

So, Friday's debacle with Barb led to Kristy not forwarding her work mobile phone to her personal one, as she said she usually does, thus not getting my call on time. Then Alan blew way too much on the nights before to make up for the Saturday evening of debauchery that was originally thought of. So, Saturday didn't really work out the way I really had planned either.

Instead on Saturday, in waiting for Kristy to not pick up her phone and call me back... I went for a walk into the core for a little retail therapy and some exercise. I went to HMV in TD Square and picked up the latest issue of NME in the store and Death Cab For Cutie's "Plans" and Stabilo's "Happiness & Disaster." When I got back, the party was beginning to start... Jen's friends, Jen, Paul, Sarah and Sarah's daughter Kayden, had already arrived and were drinking in the back.

And when Alan gave me a call back, he said he had spent way too much money the last little while and invited me down to his place for some quiet drinkin'. Well, he lives in Southland... and well, if I'm gonna be drinking, I didn't really want to do much travelling... instead I just sat, ate and drank with Jen and her BBQ friends.

The party grew and grew... Jen's Dad and his girlfriend had shown up, Jen's friend Greg came along, Chris and Lisa emerged from the basement eventually, Natasha made a short appearance and Jen's workmate Paddy was there as well. It turned out to be a pretty good party.

Paul and I got on really well between our similar interests in hockey and music, which was really cool. Kayden was super cute all day... quite the little talker as well and she's only two.

That was a pretty good little picture that I picked up yesterday. The camera actually saw quite a bit of use yesterday, which makes the post a little bit better. Well, I ended up getting really smashed and when everyone took off around 9ish, Chris and I headed over to the Yardhouse for another couple... and man, did we polish ourselves off. We were outside all day, then went in for a couple, then back outside for the walk... and I don't remember much else after that. We did go for pizza, we woke Jen up with our boasting laughter downstairs in Chris' place and I think I may have sent some texts spouting off some "good ideas" as well, more than likely to Barb. I can't confirm the last one, since my phone doesn't automatically save outgoing messages, so I have no idea what I did or say if I did send something. See... this is why I delete numbers.

That pretty much finished up my night... Chris was also in the same sort of state, when I asked him today. It wasn't pretty. I think I might write about today tomorrow morning. I do have a picture for it, so that's okay. I don't really feel like writing much more at the moment. I really gotta get some more independent writing, aside from the day-to-day stuff that I've been doing lately. I will... don't worry.
