Wireless Pocket

Well, I finally got my power pack for my laptop back... didn't really miss the laptop a great deal... just when I needed to do some hockey pool stuff. But I met Dad after work and he gave it to me... I still have to run out to Langdon though, I forgot to pick up all that other stuff that I wanted to bring back to the house.

Last night at ball didn't go quite as well as the team could have hoped. We ended up losing 6-1 after giving up quite a few of the runs in the first inning. After the first though, Munden pitched a really good game and the defense was pretty solid... it was just those mistakes that gave away the game. The pitcher we were playing against wasn't that fast, but no one could really get a hold of him at all.

My line last night was:
0 for 3, reached on error, 1 stolen base and 1 run scored.

I scored the only run after making it on in the first inning.

So, as it stands the team is 0-2 with one result still pending. Not the greatest of starts to the season.

Today, it was pretty shitty at work. I got really swamped with quarterly filings and one annual and a whole bunch of little ones. To my credit, I got everything organized, so the stress level wasn't too bad. I should have a full plate of things to do in the morning as I've got some financial statements to convert and format in the morning. Otherwise it won't be too bad.

I seemed to have found a nice pocket of wireless internet here at the moment. I'm sitting on the chair in the living room with the Senators game on and I seem to have a pretty decent connection at this spot. I don't think it's ever been this good... even when I take the computer outside.

Well... I've got a certain level of concern and/or depression at the moment. Barb doesn't seem to be returning any of my phone or text messages at the moment... which really sucks, since I began to really fancy her again. So, I've deleted her number from my phone again to save myself writing or calling something stupid when (not if, but when) I get super drunk and get one of my "great" ideas.

I really don't want to think about anyone else at the moment... I haven't really met anyone that holds a candle to her... she's a pretty special match... or so I think. I know Jen's friend, Shannon, fancies me, but I don't reciprocate at all. There really hasn't been anyone new floating around, nor would I really be considering anyone else. There is a level of content with being single now in the summer months, unless either the one I fancy comes around or someone new really wows me.

Since I'm at home now... I thought I would try writing my post, but now that I seem to have found a decent connection, I think I'll post it as well. Woo hoo!! Well, I bought beer & wings to watch the game with... so I think I'll put my wings in the oven and give my attention to the hockey game. Coach's Corner is on pretty soon.
