Blinding...
Sunny morning... as dangerous as it is beautiful. The 7am sun in the morning is still pretty low, it's hard to stare into the East and try and pull onto Memorial Drive. There's an element of being clever to making sure I get my timing down... traffic one way and then the other. The number of cars that park on Memorial Drive in front of the houses along it is amazing... and being in such a low car, it also doesn't help matter much. I'm still alive... so I'm still doin' okay.Last night actually went according to plan... sadly, I forgot the leftovers of my pasta dish that I did up last night for lunch today. Damn. I did watch the Avs & Ducks game last night... wishing I had more Ducks on my pool team. Laundry didn't quite go as planned... it was sorta doomed from the start though. I went to Safeway to pick up some laundry soap and such... but I forgot to pick up a stain remover. So... as much as my ball pants are now less-dusty and fabric softener fresh... there are still grass stains. D'oh!
6:45pm... back to the ballpark for Game 3 of the season. Tom called to remind me last night of the game. He had also made mention that the game on Monday night that was called due to weather will either count as a win for us or we'll resume playing it in the 4th inning up 2-0. Thank goodness for that.
Should be home in time to catch a good portion of the Oilers/Sharks game tonight... see if Edmonton can pull one back from the Sharks. That's been some pretty fast hockey... not quite as offensive as one may like... but still not bad.
Not a lot else on the go at the moment... been behaving myself of late. No drunken debauched nights to speak of lately. Kinda crappy though... but oh well. There's money to be saved.
I certainly am enjoying the Babyshambles album, Down In Albion. But after listening to Dirty Pretty Things on MySpace, I have come to notice where each of the influences for the Libertines came from. All have their merits, but the Libertines were sheer brilliance with the combination of Carl and Pete. It's too bad I didn't get to see the full line-up of the Libertines at Leeds. I will just have to continue listening to the albums. But Down In Albion is quite enjoyable... certainly 'Fuck Forever' being the best tune on the disc. And that'll be all for this morning... a few filings are ready to go for filing tomorrow. So, I should get them out of the way this morning. Make it look like I've accomplished something this morning.
