A Small English Lesson

Someone from Orlando, Florida searched Yahoo.com for the following phrase:

"are sandals exceptable for a interview?"

Exceptable is not acceptable. Thank goodness, in the search result (which I came number 2 on), the word 'exceptable' did not appear in the content, rather the sandals and interview did. Not in the same sentence, mind you.

I couldn't believe how many time exceptable was used in other webpages and blogs. The Encarta dictionary confirmed my belief that exceptable isn't even a word. How tragic.

This event has saddened me a little... the English as a First Language classes are somewhat failing our system, by the looks of things.
