Me? Employed?
I don't wanna work. I'm too much of a Blogger now to be employed. This is my job. This is what I do for a (non-) living. Unfortunately, it doesn't really pay the bills, if you know what I mean. It kills time just like a day-to-day job, but well... it'll be tough moving out of the basement on just 1,000 words a day with no financial compensation.
In lieu if these sad understandings, I have accepted the sales job at Millennium Systems. Fudge. That means I'll have to get up in the morning. Crap. Ah well, back to the old desk job for me.
Training starts at 9:30am. I'll be in the area by about 7:30am. How great is that? My Dad will take me in, since he works fairly close, but he leaves super-early. Oh well, apparently I can find a Tim Horton's close by. Nothing like a strong cup of coffee before the shop opens at 9am. Maybe a paper too. And a donut. And hopefully some cuties to oggle there. Hmmmm... there's a plan coming together.
So, this means that Blogging may come to more of a minimum. Then again, I am somewhat of a slacker as it is. I can probably post from work. Mwah ha ha ha ha... the system works for me again. I mean... ummmm... mwah ha ha ha ha ha ha!
I did ask... and at least there is no ties while working there! Golf shirts, nice trousers and nice shoes... oh yeah, I can do that. Still will probably be goin' shoppin' for more trousers... or a shirt or two. We'll see. You know, it depends on how hot the Tim Horton's girls are... and well, I'll need them for Joey Tomato's too. Gotta look my best for the lady-folk, I'm guessing. That probably means I'll have to lie about my job all the time too. Hmmmm... dilemmas.
I'm guessing that when a job comes along that I'll actually enjoy comes along, I might enjoy that too. I have a feeling I might not be paid enough doing this sales job, but we'll see. At least there are health benefits! That'll help me with my future diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease that I feel coming on. I shake like the San Andreas fault line some days, I'll tell ya. And that really isn't humour... it is kinda scary.
Today, I was sitting with one of the neighbours on the block, Rob. He had badly cut his wrist (tendons, muscles, arteries, everything!) and has been off of work for about 6 months now and still has a few left to suffer through. Well, yeah, we were sitting together on his deck in the backyard having a chat in the nice sunshine for a couple hours. He's a pretty cool guy. He likes his sports, music and video games... not to mention a cold beer and a hot waitress. Heh heh. We were half-heartedly making plans for Friday afternoon at Joey Tomatos in Eau Claire... doesn't look like that's gonna happen now, does it? Fudge!
I think I re-aggrevated a sunburn on my forehead... just about where my hat-line would be. It was such a sunny day, but it had such a nice breeze to it, I could feel the frying again today. Man, I'm a colourful looking guy nowadays.
Anyways... should probably do a little more chatting... maybe a bit of reading and then hit the hay. Gotta get my MP3 player charged up for tomorrow as well. It'll help to kill some time tomorrow. Right on!
