My Small Campaign

That's the stuff... my Bring Back Bertuzzi logo. Loud and proud! I say enough is enough with the whole being PC in hockey now. The NHL should be as tough as the players were in the 70's... no helmets, thin pads, real goons and no sissies. Why back down to the politically correct now, when the NHL is a celebrated test of strength, might and courage. Mr. Bettman and his ex-NBA let's-not-touch-each-other-'cuz-it's-a-foul cronies can go for a long walk.

Don't get me wrong, I don't condone the actions of Marty McSorley or Todd Bertuzzi, but a right of passage is a right of passage. Both Donald Brashear and Steve Moore know what the game is all about, pure un-adulterated passion and vigor... hell, Brashear is a "fighter" and Steve Moore plowed Markus Naslund head-first into the boards causing a several week stay on the Injured List. I'm thinking they're aware of what can happen in a game of hockey.

Actually, I have no problems with Brashear... he had to be the coolest guy out of the bunch. It's hockey, he said... nice one! If Steve Moore decides for a civil suit or whatever he has left in his bag of tricks, he shouldn't be allowed to play in the NHL even when he's fit and ready. Hopefully he does make a full recovery!

If Canadians want another Stanley Cup next season, you would have to imagine that the Canucks are the best hope. Two 50-goal scorers would pretty much win you a lot of games in this league where it's tough for a team to have one. The Flames only beat the Canucks because the Canucks couldn't generate enough offense and they went on to lose in 7 to Tampa. If Canada had Bertuzzi at the Worlds in February... the Czechs? What a bunch of pansies. They couldn't control Big Bert.

Save my banner on your site... have it scroll... have it out there for everyone to see! Not to mention, get the BC Government to legalize marijuana... they need to chill out.
