Not Even A Working Title...

Image hosted by Photobucket.comHey everyone, pretty good gig last night. The Pleasure Unit is a good little venue in London. It absorbed the sound of Andy's drums quite well, I must say.

I'm not feeling overly enthusiastic about writing this morning. There's quite a few things I want to do today, including getting a letter done for my National Insurance Number interview tomorrow, call HSBC and Capital One about my cards, call the Home Office and see if I can give them my new forwarded address to send all my details and passport to.

Last night I tried a couple of old cards that I didn't destroy, but they were useless to me. That made me feel somewhat like shit. I had to borrow £10 of off Cliff, the guitarist of the band. I'm really glad he's such a nice guy. I hate feeling about 2 feet tall. I certainly did last night.

I'm really down to my last pennies at the moment. I am dying to hear from this Car Wash fella that Amber was telling me about. I just need some easy work. With no numbers or anything for the agencies and no guarantee that I'll get one, I really don't know whats going on. It's just getting worse and worse.

I haven't seen any e-mails from back home yet. The party must have been a good one. I hope everything went well with them yesterday!

Friday was quite the day & night (I should make a mention of). Brian had finished work and was back home for about 2:30pm and well, I had nothing on and was watching television while killing time. Brian suggests we go see Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Well, how could I say no to that?

Image hosted by Photobucket.comEarlier in the afternoon I sent Lars (pictured left) a text message asking if there was anything going on in the evening. I did sort of fancy a night out with the lads, even with the last few quid in my pocket.

When we were pulling into the car park, my phone goes off and it was Lars on the other side, according to the picture that came up. But no, to my surprise it was Barry. Surprisingly, although it was a different voice on the other side of the phone, I didn't even flinch.

Barry and Lars were sitting in the Hub Bar in Colchester, which we were going to pass by to get to the cinema to see the film. Since we had some time, Brian, Sue and I stopped in to say hello.

Said hello, said we'd stop by after the film and then we were off.

Hitchhikers was an alright show. I certainly laughed more when I read the book, even though the humour was more imagined more than in your face as the film is. I chuckled a few times during the film, more in anticipation of jokes I knew were coming more than the jokes themselves. I hope that the DVD has a whole load of extras including some deleted scenes that give a little bit more humour than the film did.

So we all came out of the film and we came out to find that Barry & Lars hadn't left the Hub Bar and Paul Chapman & Jutty had joined them. Which reminds me, I have to make them up in the South Park character generator. Brian, Sue & I sat down and had a beer. Brian & Sue caught up a bit with Barry as more and more people started to show up. Jutty's girlfriend Kat and a mate of her's showed up, Maz showed up as well and that was about it. Brian and Sue were feeling more and more out of place and they eventually left me to my devices with the guys (& gals).

Well, the night disintegrated into the alcohol. To the Hog's Head we went after the Hub Bar. Fortunately, the one bright spot of the night was me chatting up the barmaid there. If I remember correctly, which I'm sure I don't, her name was Kate or something with a 'kah' sound at the beginning of her name, because I distinctly remember saying to myself (why, I don't know?) that our names were common because of that sound at the beginning of our names. Nevertheless, she was really tired or else she may have come with us to the Arts Centre, where we finished the night. She did ask if I was going to be about for the rest of the weekend and if I had any money at the moment, I would try and make an effort to go for a beer tonight, but that isn't going to happen at all. Maybe she'll work during the week. If I'm in town, I might go have a peek.

Image hosted by Photobucket.comYeah... disintegration. A sickly feeling. When a night disintegrates for me in Colchester, I end up in the Arts Centre. I become a disgusting wreck of a person, having a good time, of course, but I end up remembering very little.

Things I remember from the Arts Centre on Friday night:

  1. Security coming up to me 4 times, warning me that they'll chuck me out.
  2. Taking my shirt off.
  3. Dancing like an idiot, including rolling around on the dance floor twice (hence the exceptionally dirty shirt, pictured right).
  4. Barry pouring beer over me.
  5. Seeing Andy in the Arts Centre and chatting with him.
  6. Talking to the lead singer of the band I heckled before watching another Amberblacks gig and making a complete drunken ass of myself doing so.
  7. Receiving a call from Chris some point through the night.
  8. And then the night going absolutely pear shaped (by order of good nature, the events that incurred afterwards aren't publication material).

Things I don't remember about the Arts Centre:

  1. Getting there.
  2. If I had anymore to drink.
  3. The music.

It was an interesting night. Man, did I smell in the morning. The smell of beer on my clothes wanted to make me throw up so much on the way home. I got on the bus after staying at Lars' that night and oh, it couldn't go fast enough. I really should get all those clothes in the wash today or tomorrow. They still smell soooooo bad.

Anyways... that'll be enough for me, I think. If anything major happens today, I'll let you all know!
