Another Drunk Post

I was kinda held captive by Ashley at the Yardhouse tonight. I was there until just about closing tonight. She kinda kept my bill, being the last one of the table around, but also one of the last one's there, period. Nevertheless, despite her flirting, which she was devious of tonight... I was still torn about what to do.

I am not the guy to jump on every opportunity. I'm not. I like a little meaning, even if it's just a little.

She likes me... it's clear as day. She's a super good girl... but I just can't get past the fact that she's a waitress for a living.

"Clayton," my good drinking buddy Kelly said, "whatever you do in life... don't fall in love with waitresses and strippers."

That piece of advice makes too much sense. I mean, I've been burnt before on the waitresses, can't say the same about the strippers, but waitresses are evil creatures... in a hot way. So I'm sorta torn. What to do.

I have been trying a bit more lately, but since she got back from Mexico, she's been working almost every shift. So, I've been a bit unlucky. Tuesday, this week, is her only day off... but I realized that it was a Cruisers game... and I really feel bad if I left down the team. I also felt bad when I told her about it tonight... to a point. The rule keeps me in check."

There is clearly no question, if I had an opportunity with Ashley with nothing overhanging, I would be there to find out what it's all about... no question. But... schedules are a bitch. Especially in the food-service industry. Not good at all. So... this is why I'm skeptical. I know it's there... for reasons beyond me... but it seems to be there.

I would rather a platform to do it all in, besides the place where she works and where I drink myself stupid. There has got to be a better place for it all... but where?
