No Bats Last Night

Rusty's 2 Royals 0... another game where the bats just couldn't keep up with their ace pitcher, who Allan said nailed 15 strikeouts, which is pretty friggin' good. We just weren't good enough tonight, having runners reach second or third a few times and not being able to knock them in at all. I managed an infield single with two outs in the top of the seventh, but Aaron wasn't able to out run the catcher's throw on a passed ball strikeout or else I would have scored at least one for us. Otherwise it was two other strikeouts for me... but I certainly wasn't the only one. Their pitcher just has our number and we really have to sort it out before the end of the year or else we'll look like chumps during the playoffs.
Tonight... it's a late game against the Boomers. The last game we played against them, we won 5-1, and if we played in the field the same way we did last night, we'll probably do somewhat of the same thing to them again tonight. I'm gonna try and improve on my 1-for-3 the last time out against them... I found myself a lot more confident in the batter's box again last night, despite striking out a couple times, I stood in there and took quite a few pitches and really just couldn't keep up the first couple times up.
Neither one of the girls came out last night... Jen was suffering from what I figure must have been heat stroke or something. She wasn't feeling very well when I got home from work last night, so she stayed around the house and lazied it up pretty good. I didn't hear from Natasha at all, I'll probably give her a call tonight... but Jen said that a large group of girls (including Natasha) would be going to Sneak-A-Peek at the Stampede tonight, so that might be written off already. No worries though... don't think I could handle the pressure. Ha ha.
Last night after the game, I ordered some Chinese, then Jen and I went and rented Crash... I finally got to watch the whole thing... and it's pretty good. The cashews in the Hunan Chicken (George likes his chicken spicy!) seemed to knock me out pretty easily last night as well... d'oh! It's looking more and more like nuts, in general, will serve to be a drowsy allergy to me. That kind of sucks.
Today at the office doesn't look like it'll be too difficult. A few things are in from yesterday afternoon, nothing too big. I'm gonna see if I can get totally caught up this morning so I can continue some more writing here and there.
