Catching Up
Wow... have I ever been busy. Work has been quite overwhelming, well... almost. I don't know, between the deadline tomorrow and the heat over the past couple days, posting on the Tales has been put on the backburner, due to lack of desire.
I also haven't had any desire to take much for pictures... or any pictures for that matter, so there isn't going to be any here today.
Tuesday night... it was a few at the house and then a few at the Yardhouse. Chris and I went there after Jen had taken off for somewhere, I forget where now. It was super-warm in there, I remember, like it has been the last few days. Krystale was our server again, but we weren't quite sure it was her for the longest time. Ashley was about and was chatting with us on and off... she had mentioned how wasted she got with us with all the tequila shots. That was pretty good for a laugh. I'll probably head in there on Friday night to see if she wants to come for the England match breakfast... wink, wink, nudge, nudge. I had made mention of it on Tuesday, but we'll wait and see.
Yesterday was quite busy... a lot of the bigger annual filings were coming in and I was doing my best to sort through them and do the ones that I had received the day before. Fortunately, everything had worked out alright and the filings have been going really well.
Last night... the Royals won again! I think the final was 8-6 against CBA. I went 2-for-4, including a single, double and got robbed of getting on base in the last inning, beating the throw from second by a clear step, yet still getting called out by the ump who was standing behind short. Oh, I wasn't pleased. Still a good game nonetheless.
This morning was clearing up a lot of what was left behind from Wednesday. Two more larger annuals and then seven smaller filings that were really easy. There have been lots of edits and phone calls back and forth from my arch-nemesis of a client in regards to their annual. Actually, arch-nemesis is a little harsh, although they are trying. My arch-nemesis clients had switched law firms that dealt with me, but these new guys are doing their best to wind me up a little more with changes upon changes. It does sort of want to make you pull your hair out, as I'm trying to teach people again why things happen during conversion. Argh.
I can't really see myself going too nuts tonight with doing anything. Julie is back in town from Northern BC... I had mentioned to her that tonight might be a good night for a skate around the park. So I'm to give her a call when I get home to see what she's up to.
Tomorrow is deadline day, officially... and the last day before a 4-day weekend. Woo hoo!! If all goes to plan, then I should be out the door on time on Friday afternoon and I won't have to worry about anything until Wednesday morning. Get in!!
Saturday morning, I'm making breakfast. Chris said he'll probably come upstairs for breakfast and Jen will be up as soon as I am... hopefully Ashley comes by. Maybe I'll see who else can come later on. I think Benny might think about coming into town tomorrow night. I should give him a bell after work.
And that'll be that.
