Less Winded

Well, I don't think today's entry will be quite as long winded as yesterday's. Man, that was a long weekend. And there's no better way than to recover from a long weekend than watching World Cup football at the office. Yesterday, despite the few filings that were left for me, I wrote my long-winded post and watched the Czech Republic whomp on the USA. Fantastic! I sure do like those Czechs... good footballin' nation.

Today, I got to watch the France & Switzerland and pretty soon I'll be watchin' the Brazil & Croatia match. France was absolutely shit this morning... or afternoon in Germany. I thought it would a little bit better of a match... hell, Switzerland shoulda beat 'em.

Last night's excursion to the Yardhouse for the Oilers & Hurricanes game was alright. Didn't stay too long... didn't spend too much. Kind of a shame Carolina won though... I don't want to miss the deciding game on Wednesday as it looks like I probably will. Dammit.

Looks like I've gotten myself another writing job... online. I will write more about it when I get a chance. For now, that's all I'll give ya...

Got a MySpace message from Karly yesterday... she was sorta apologizing and wondering if we were still friends. I'm like... 'yeah, why wouldn't we be?' Oh yeah... Jen. Ha ha. Nah... it's all good... I really didn't feel quite as strongly as Jen... nor did I wanna be included in her rants and raves about everything.

Got an e-mail this morning from Sue... Hi Sue!! She's still popping by the Tales for the read. Good to see. When I get a moment after the match, I'll be writing her back. Just in case you see this beforehand, Sue... the reply is coming!!

And otherwise... that's pretty much that. Two good games of football on TV today... can't complain. Doesn't look like I'll be able to watch the England game on Thursday morning. It's on Sportsnet at 10am... so, a) I won't be able to sleep in THAT late... and b) we don't have that channel at work, so I'm outta luck there. I'll probably listen to it on the BBC site while I work away.

Tonight... off to defend the perfect season in Langdon. The Cruisers are supposed to be playing tonight, barring too much rain.

And today's picture... the office building I work in. My office is in the top-left hand corner of the pic. It's a corner office! It's the EDGAR office, but I'm the only one in it. So... its mine! If I knew I was gonna write about where I sat in the building, I would have paid more attention to detail in the photo...
