Did Jesus exist? Court to decide

Now that!! That is a fantastic headline. Ha ha ha. CNN is reporting that an Italian court will decide whether or not Jesus Christ actually existed.

In Italy, the defendant priest is being tried for conning the general public into believing that there was a Jesus and swindling them into donating money to the church.

Holy precedent, Batman! I can only imagine the court cases if said court is to decide against the church. I mean, c'mon... it'll be an absolutely daunting task to "prove" that ol' JC existed.

I think the most humourous thing would be to see the religous types all look as silly as Tom Cruise and his Scientology. The years and years of denial and non-recognition of a negative court ruling.

I guess we'll see if Italy can separate religion and state... I mean, that's probably a HUGE sell in Rome. They wouldn't call it Roman Catholic if it was so easy to dissuade them of their religion, would they??

This could possibly tear down the pillars of some societies, Christians could be so angry that they could start judging the Italian authority, not letting all the judgement be handled by the "big fella." Since when would they do such a thing, right?

I think I'm gonna have a good giggle about this story at work today... granted, I'm giggling already.
