Confusion...
Six cans of Pepsi, some chili, pepperoni, cheese & crackers later... yeah, the afternoon hangover is pretty much sorted now. I didn't get up today until 2pm when Dad came down to see if I was still alive... I wasn't too sure, myself.
I don't know when I came home last night... but I do know that I was pretty drunk. I'm not even sure how I got home, let alone when... it was quite something. I think the memory cut out again once the fresh air hit me.
I went down to the bar with Rob & Michelle to catch the game and play some pool... was only on bottles and I think I did a couple of shots as well, before Benny came in and we chatted a bit. Theresa was working a bit... but I didn't pay her much attention. Marni was working again... apparently, she had gotten slashed with a knife downtown and was off work for the last couple weeks. She was bandaged up still on her right shoulder, where the knife got her. I think I even saw Raquel kicking around before the end of the stay. Girls a plenty!! Nice. I think my eyes were wandering quite a bit when the commericals came on.
Once the game was over, Benny said Jeff was at his place playing poker, so I left the bar with him... I'm pretty sure I said goodbye to Rob & Michelle. Heh heh. Paid the tab and got the heck outta there. We piled into Benny's Cavalier and headed over to Jeff's place.
There Jeff, Jay, Jill & Sandra (almost got the aliteration there...) were playing a little bit of Texas Hold'em. Benny and I sat down at the table and we started a new game. They weren't playing for money or anything, just good solid poker fun.
By then, I was really in "having a good time mode." I don't think I had too many by that time... but I was doin' well enough to have a good laugh. Then suddenly, I caught Jill flirting with me at the table. Givin' little winks and smiles... I was sort of put into a state of confusion, thinking 'why??' But since I was running in "good time mode," I didn't really put much stock into it. Don't know why... I'm kinda kicking myself now, but... oh well.
We played a few games of poker and then headed back to the Wildfire for a few more. Then the memory gets a tad hazy... I remember grabbing another drink and then playing pool... playing doubles. Jill took me as her teammate... but then the fresh air that was had started to get to me and well, I have no idea how I did.
Next thing I know, I'm home... watching with a drunken intent as a bag of microwave popcorn likes in the microwave doing nothing. Eventually, it finishes popping and I took the bag to bed with me, where in the end I passed out.
I think I got up once for water in the morning... but Dad was the one who woke me up at 2pm. I was lying in a bed full of popcorn and I found myself trying my best to remember what had happened the night before. The memory kinda failed me a bit.
I have checked the last receipt I got from the bar and found that it was printed at quarter after two... but that's about the last hint of time I've got. I didn't make any phone calls past calling Jeff before heading to his place and there was no indication from the folks when I may have straggled in.
So today, I've battled with the still-drunkenness... the fatigue of possibly over-sleeping... and the kicking myself about Jill. So I've finally got myself together now and oh it'll be another early night. I should go find the Simpsons on TV soon... I missed last week's new episode, so I don't think I should miss another one. Get to bed at a good hour... I will get a replacement to Meathead tomorrow... so I'll get training here tomorrow.
I'll give Barbara a call here sometime this week... see what she's up to. I have to go get my Canucks jersey from Jeff's place soon too... I had left it there after I took it off before playing poker. Try and catch up with what I may have done at the bar... eek! See if he says anything about Jill. I am a tad curious now.
So, that's my plan... payday this week. Might look into some winter tires this week. Probably should do that soon... the wintery winds are supposed to be bringing snow again. I'll try my best to get pictures. Until tomorrow!!

Heh. You've had a busy day. I raise my Cuba Libre to what I'm sure will be a swift recovery.
By the by...how would you feel about the Sherpa being encased in Hohmannite?
