Dreary

Ha ha ha... the optical mouse has a tail.
What a shitty day it is outside. It's raining... just like the weather forecast predicted. It's dark, it's dreary and I'm glad I didn't rollerblade to work, 'cuz I'm not sure if this is gonna break up anytime soon. It's supposed to rain for like the next few days... so there ya go.To be honest, that picture doesn't do the drearyness any justice. The picture looks a lot lighter than it actually is outside. It does, however, give you a sense of how wet it is outside this morning.
This morning, I got onto the train and took it into town, switched to the NE line and arrived at Marlborough Mall... then it was a 25 minute walk from there to the office. So I got my exercise again this morning.
Yesterday's skate home, although downhill to start, was not easy at all. My legs and back were still sort of recovering from the first 40 minute trek in the morning and wasn't quite ready to work out again in the evening. Be it out of shape or lack of interest to work that hard... my body was hurting all the way home. I didn't stop for a rest though... I managed to power through the whole trip, even the pedestrian bridge over Memorial Drive. The uphill battles were just that for the most part.
When I arrived at home, I just wanted to die. Just so tired and sweaty... I could have just passed out on the couch if I didn't need to do a few things. Instead of passing out I showered, ate and then went out to the car to investigate the electrical system. Dad had said it may only be a fuse that went on the fuel pump, which would be a much cheaper change than the fuel pump itself. As it turned out, it wasn't the fuse... it was still intact, so I'm gonna have to call a few places here in the Lawn to see if they can look at the car and such.
After investigation of the electrics, I investigated giving the fuel tank a tap to see if there was any blockage or anything... that didn't really work so well either. So... it was confirmed that the Sherpa-mobile is garage bound.
When I got in... again I felt like dying. But Chris came up and wanted to go for a beer. Dammit. My rubber arm was still on... I forgot to take it off. So we went... I only brought $20 with me, that's it. No more.
There it was Matt behind the bar and Ash & Kate were working the floor. For the most part it was pretty quiet in there. There was nothing on the sports channels really... so we ended up watching whatever was on at the time. Ash had gotten her job sorted out, but I didn't get all the details for it. Kate was pulling off Maggie's hair from my shirt... oddly. It was a fairly quiet evening in. I managed to snake an extra beer from Matt... what a good guy. Heh heh.
Finally, I was still in bed rather early... I think I made it in around 11pm... so that was alright. Up and at 'em nice and early this morning, to find no hot water in the shower. It was almost like Chris showered first thing in the morning, which is very odd for him. So, that's the story this morning... I'm gonna try and snake a ride to the train station on the way home tonight. That'll speed things up a bit.

we have the same weather system. It's been shitty crap outside for three days now. I dread this time of year for that very reason. Sorry to hear you're so drained and hope things improve for you soon.
