Dear Jen,

Is the silence after the 10 minutes of film that remained keeping you awake? We all know how you have to "have a good night's sleep to do well on your test tomorrow." It would be a shame if the elder of us (by mere months, three, if I'm not mistaken) would be kept up past 11:15pm by a movie that is on in the front room, compared to the television that is on in your room.

To be put in the file of things that are probably best never said, I'll post it here, because, well... you'll probably never dig it out.

Actually, if in fact you are still awake when I'm writing this, it does mean that you are ignorant. If your eyes are still open, watching your television and not prancing amongst the sugarplums, then you should know about your ignorance.

The world exists beyond your field of vision. Puppies are dying, people are committing suicide, evil plots are brewing... and yes, there is a movie going on in the living room.

If you need to do well on a test, it would help if you knew what the material was going to be on the test. This would take studying... not sleeping. Sure, a good night's sleep does increase alert and awareness, but if memory serves me right... oh no, it doesn't... I only got six hours sleep last night. Oh no, I had to get up early to make sure I had hot water in the shower, minutes before my roommate gets up to have his shower, 'cuz he leaves right away. I'll be damned if I have to wait that extra half hour, that I'll be walking around the house doing nothing, waiting for the time I have to leave for school.

Boy, that nail went in pretty flush... I must have hit it right on the head.

Although I protest in silence, the greatest justice will be when it all comes crashing down and you didn't see it coming. Your ignorance giving way to naivity... to believe that I wouldn't do such a thing. I have been through a lot of people... people who do not wish to know me anymore.

Ignorance, is a problem, that I've seen and read about many times. It's something I try my damndest to keep away from. I wish to be aware of the reaction of my actions when I can be. I look at the way I greet people on the phone, to the things I write about on the Tales. Isn't it "your" religion that asks people to do unto others as you wish them to do to you?

Knowing that your movie only has 10 minutes remaining, that you were watching in peace until someone comes in, starts talking about his/her day, whilst you're watching intently... is that not disturbing? Is that something you'd wish someone to do to you? Would it not be fair to reason... to ask how much time is left?? Demanding people to do things does not create harmony. It may create quiet, but it does not please everyone. Demands can be met... but a lot of time, they'll be met at a price.

This is a dark message, but one out of annoyance. I protest in written silence, as I am as much to blame as anyone else... I may have seen this coming, but continued in hope that such annoyances would be discarded or ignored.

The moral of this story is, if you believe someone to be your equal, as in humanly, financialy, spiritually... then one must take into consideration their own position of the action they are going to partake in. If one of these two things are not met, then the argument needs to be posed that one may be a hypocrite... and nobody likes a hypocrite.

Sweet dreams,
Clayton
