Broken Sky

This was the sky after all the clouds broke last night. It was quite the electrical storm in Langdon and there was no ball last night. We actually had somewhat of a full team show up, so we drank beers in the dugout while the rain & hail came down and we were wowed by the light show. The storm only lasted about an hour and a quarter, I think, but by then it was a little late to start the game and the fields were super-wet, so I took off from Langdon just after eight and this was the pic I got out the window on 797. I really wish that I had gotten a shot of the storm or even a new video clip for YouTube, but oh well.

Last night's poker with Chris saw me lose what I was up and a little more for an overall loss again yesterday. I lost an all-in with a pair of Kings to an Ace-King, where the Ace came up in the river. I was up like $4 at an 0.02/0.04 table... so I was doing pretty well. Talk about a tough loss. Might get back on there again this morning.

Only two filings on my desk after what turned out to be a fairly busy day yesterday. There was a new client that came on that will be sending in smaller filings, I think, so that'll be alright. Six more filings came in during the day, plus the couple that were left over from the night before, so there was enough on my plate by lunch time. A Friday before a long weekend... hmmm... it shoudln't be too busy, I don't think. You'll probably see that the Wednesday after will be quite busy, since most people get Monday off here in Canada. Most... not including me. Heritage Day is a Canadian holiday... not celebrated in the US, so the EDGAR server is open and I'll get to spend the day bored out of my mind watching for releases and stuff on Monday.

Well, there's another news release that has to be filed... just arrived in the ol' inbox. Yay!

Tonight... no plans. Jen left me another note for this morning that pretty much said thank you for not doing anything in the house last night. She had left a huge note saying how I shouldn't do anything in the house, which was kind of a piss-off...

Whatever I should do... don't live in the house.

Good plan. The desire to not stay there very much longer grows... I thought about looking at the listings to see what I could find in Inglewood or something, a place where it would cut down my commute by a ton. That'd be cool.

Sorry, got a little distracted. Tonight. Natasha might call tonight... so, I might try and do something with her, but that's only if she decides to call. At least she does call once and a while, unlike some people the Tales have met before. It's almost impossible trying to get her on the phone, so I won't really bother trying, I don't think. I wouldn't mind keeping it on the down-low tonight. I'll make Saturday night the big night... Ashley should be back from Mexico this weekend... so depending on when she's back, she might be back working on Saturday night. See how her vacation went and have a couple tequilas.

Will probably hear about ball practice today... hopefully it goes on Sunday afternoon, so I can actually go. That'd be sweet. There's pretty much no chance that I'll be able to get out early on Monday, since I'll be the only one in the office.
