Lack Thereor...
Motivation levels are down today... it's looking like a real nice day outside too. I would actually like to toss around the ball in the warm air outside, but Benny is out having lunch with his brother and I don't think Jeff is much of a ball player. Calgary plays the Dallas Stars in 40 minutes... don't know if I can be motivated enough to head to the pub to watch it, but it's looking more and more likely that I probably will. There isn't much else going on today... Mom & Dad are heading into town to do some shopping... haven't heard much of anything from anyone... just gonna finish up some laundry, have a shower and see what's gonna happen.
Yesterday, Benny and I headed to the Deerfoot Meadows shopping centre to kill some time before the hockey games started on Hockey Night in Canada. We walked around contemplating, for too long possibly, about what to eat. We took a look in SportChek, Future Shop, Best Buy and all sorts of stores. I managed to pick up a copy of 12 Monkeys on DVD... one that I've always wanted. I also picked up The Back Room by the Editors and the Tragically Hip's Hipeponymous (finally!). It was a retail therapy kind of day. After yesterday's rant... a little bit of therapy calmed me down a bit.
Got home in time to watch Disney's Chicken Little... Dad had rented it when I was out and wasn't expecting me home to watch the hockey games, so he rented a couple flicks. Chicken Little was actually pretty entertaining... very well done... and a good waste of just over an hour. Ha ha. It finished in time for the end of the first period of the Leafs/Habs game and just in time to watch Coach's Corner.
After the Leafs/Habs game, I headed to the pub to watch the Canucks lose to the Oilers. What a disappointment that was... but to the Oilers credit, they looked more desperate to stay in the playoff hunt than the Canucks and the Canucks just got burned on stupid little mistakes again.
And then it was home to bed. Was exhausted... didn't feel like doing anything else.
Blah.
