The Celebration Afterwards

Despite not being the guy doing it on the field, the celebration was still fairly sweet... especially when the beer hit home. There were a few moments of bittersweetness, but that soon faded and the camera was just snapping away all night. After we received our trophy and our City Champion hoodies, we all poured out to the parking lot for beers and champagne with the new trophy.
Unfortunately, some took the bittersweetness to heart. Aaron unfortunately took off with his girlfriend after the game and presentations had ended and I ddin't get a pic of him taking a sip out of the trophy. It was a shame, especially since he was instrumental in getting us there... especially getting the save in Game 2. But he wanted to start... he wanted to pitch, but he didn't make it in. So, it was a big shame when he didn't show up to the party.
With only a hot dog in my stomach, the beers and champagne started to hit fairly early. We finished it all off and had ourselves a really good time... so much so, I showed a few of them to the Yardhouse for some more good times. There, I was really able to let loose, 'cuz I could just leave the car there and walk home.
By the end of the raucious evening, I locked my keys in the car, got stuck with a good portion of the bill and went home and woke Jen up at 1:30am to let me in the house. Wow... what a friggin' party.
