How Do You Like It?
Thanks to Sue in Wormingford for the great picture. The LHT Urban Bar in Whitechapel, London is the setting for the great Opiated Sherpa's conquest of the world. It isn't a great landmark or anything, but it looks great and he looks pretty cool in the doorway there. It's great what Photoshop can do, eh?
Today, I spent quite a bit of time trying to get my Mom's PC up and running again properly. Dewey, the lovebird parrot, had chewed through the cable of her serial port mouse. Well, I knew it was going to be really tough to find another one of those kinds of mice these days in stores, with everything now moved onto USB and what not. So yesterday, we went out and got a USB card and mouse for the machine. Now with how old this machine is now, it's no wonder that I've been having a lot of trouble with it all day. So I'm currently sitting in front of the PC while I write this and let it scan, re-install, boot up again and so on and so forth. Nothing really exciting here.
It was sort of a lost day in all today. The young and rambunctious me that roamed around England for a couple years is slowly creeping back into it's box, waiting for another time and place to come out and greet the world again. Hopefully, that'll be sooner rather than later.
I hadn't really been doing any more consideration of how much I'm liking the new job. In actual fact, I've been doing more searching for more in the Graphic Design area again. I sent a few more resumes today as well... fingers crossed there.
The neighbourhood was really quiet today. Didn't see Rob at all. I know he wass supposed to be out and about all day, so I wasn't really too surprised. I'm thinking maybe I should be concentrating more on my writing if I'm not being too social at the minute. Hey, you never know when you keep practicing, right? Right.
I'm hoping that my header collection will be quite big... then my Photoshop skills will increase as well. If someone can do neat things on Photoshop, then they shouldn't be unemployed (or employed at a less favourable position) for too long, eh?
Looks like Roger put up some more quality photos on Dirty Hairy Mouth this evening as well. A couple parties included on there, which I really wish I was at. They looked like great fun.
Chelsea beat Arsenal today for the Community Shield. Go on, you Blues!
Anyways... best be cleaning up the old clunker of a PC. Enjoy the new header and send me more, eh!
