Nice day...

Well, that was a good day. It was a really nice day to be out taking photos of Graeme's Escort... no, no... his car. HA! I suppose if you knew Graeme, that'd be a bit more funny. Ah well, it's my Blog and my jokes. For those wondering, I'm the one on the right. Check out all that hair, eh! My Mom would be so weirded out by it. From time to time, I'm weirded out by it.
A high of 18 degrees in Colchester (and the surrounding area) today. Some odd clouds hung over top as well, but all in all, a nice day.
Today was Day 768 of a scheduled 792 day stay in England. Only 23 full days left and well... not a lot left scheduled to do. It's getting easier and easier the thought of going home. I look back and think that it wasn't the idea of going home that was bringing me down so much, it was more the uncertainty of the situation. I despise uncertainty. That can actually be more depressing than actually knowing the bad news. At least when you have the bad news, you can at least do something with it. Hanging in limbo is a terrible place to end up.
In another stroke of good luck... my replacement MP3 player arrived today. My Sony NW-HD3 (in Silver) arrived from Norwich this morning and already I have got all my music on there... all 3,300+ songs!! I can't wait to get home and rip the rest of my CDs that are there. I bought the new Athlete disc... that Half Light song is absolutely fantastic. It could almost be my anthem for leaving...
"When I see you next, we'll make the most of it, tell the sun to start moving again..."
The CD as a whole is actually quite good. Same sort of Coldplay sound but without all the pretentious bullshit. I also picked up the singles: Somewhere Else (Razorlight), Electron Blue (REM) and Neighbourhood #3 (Power Out) (Arcade Fire). If you didn't know already, I do collect as much REM as possible. I'm not missing too many CD singles now... I could list 'em, but I don't really feel like it.
Oh... I've just plugged in my MP3 player again... first up, My Red Cell. They're a band that another Graeme introduced me to. The album '13 In My 31' is kind of a White Stripes/Blink 182 sort of cross. Kind of the pop-punk rhythm & sound with the Jack White vocals and lyrics. Quite cool. I only was able to quickly take a copy of the album for the MP3 player, but I will buy the CD when I get a chance. Fantastic!
What else did I do today?? Oh yeah... I bought some more blank DVDs as well. I have to publish the Fool Monty still. I will probably just publish a couple copies of the footage I have, plus the behind the scenes spot I put together. That'll be good, I reckon. I think that'll be my mission for tomorrow and maybe deliver a couple copies to the pub in Bergholt.
Not a lot left for writing today... can't really think of too much to elaborate on. Oh well.
