Long Time, No Write

Gee whiz... would you believe that I haven't updated this in like 3 days? Crikey.

It's been a tad busy, between the drinkin' and socializin'... nothing really major to kind of write about. It has been a little bit of a loss for writing inspiration of late.

Friday, I made it out of work a little bit early to go meet Benny & Jeff down at Chinook. From there, we dolled Benny up and headed into the downtown core. Stops at Fuel and the Mynt Bar in town got us really, really drunk. We met up with Jay at Fuel and kind of went from there. Man, did we ever get trashed. It was a pretty good night. For some reason though, I ended up splitting from the group and calling up Julie at 1:30am... eventually crashing over at her place for the night. Still have yet to figure out why... 'cuz I don't really remember... nor do the lads. You know it was a good night when...

Last night... met Benny at his place, we had to go into town to retrieve our jackets from the Mynt Bar, since we had drunkenly left them there. Then we went down to the Black Swan to meet Jeff there after he was finished his Xmas party for work. That wasn't quite as fun as before... the place was pretty busy, but it just wasn't a great party atmosphere. We decided at around midnight that it wasn't quite the place to be... so we headed back to Langdon and into the Wildfire. A few more there, but it wasn't a heavy one as it was on Friday.

Today... been a bit of a quiet one. I did some errands out and about in Strathmore and Calgary... went to go pick up a parcel that Tegan sent home. But really... it's been pretty lazy of a day. Watched some football and been occasionally stopping in on Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, as Pa is watching it upstairs.

For some reason, my phone doesn't like to receive text messages still. As I was sitting upstairs, I received 4 text messages that would have come during the week and weekend. Two were from Barbara and the others were from Benny. I'm wondering what I could possibly do to get my texts working properly. Here, I was thinking that Barbara was ignoring my text messages... but again, I should really know better. I think I'll just give her a call after I finish writing this passage... just to see whats happening. Probably end up just leaving her a message, as I'm pretty bad at catching her by her phone. I wouldn't mind trying to get her out while we're out partying next week.

By the sounds of things, this next week should be fairly busy again. Monday: Floor hockey with Brydon and Trevor... starting much earlier, something like 6:30pm or something. That'll be good. Tuesday: probably will need Tuesday night for some shopping of some sorts. Wanna get some Xmas presents for the folks and the boys. Wednesday: finish whatever I don't get done. Thursday: Greg said that a big group of them are goin' down to the Riverbend Station for a pretty good one to tie on. Friday: Birthday night... let the weekend begin! That's about all I got so far...

I'm working all week... Friday we're done at 3:30pm... so that'll also be helpful. There's only one big project to do this week... I've done most of the hard stuff, Troy is still working on bits and pieces of it and then we'll be expecting the other half tomorrow or Tuesday. We wanna get this one done before the weekend, which shouldn't be too much of a problem. I still have a few bits and bobs to finish up on my original document I was working on, that'll be my first priority tomorrow morning, I believe.

Other honourable mention for the weekend... I finally found another pair of sunglasses with orange lenses. Woo hoo!! Another pair of Nikes for me... and I had to be bloody drunk to pay the $180 I did for them. Ah well... they were helpful over the last couple days, as the sun has been out on the cooler, clear days.

Right... dinner is ready. I best be off. Until tomorrow.
