The Last Weekend: Chapter 2
Well, I ended up crashing at Lars' and he had to be at work and I wanted to get back to the Jones' for cleaning up, changing and so forth. I was to meet Neil at the bus station at 11:30am to start the Friday off properly.
Lars and I left his place so I could catch the 8:15am bus back to Wormingford, which would pass by the Odeon at about 20 past. Lars and I separated in front of Woolworth's and I waited at the bus stop. And I waited. And waited some more. I watched the world go by, marvelled at the beautiful people who walked by and waited some more. Well, I think I waited for about a half hour before asking myself what the hell was going on. So, I jetted off to Costa in Culver Square grabbed a coffee and went back to the stop to wait a little longer and see if there was an 8:45am bus... but nope. So, to catch the 9:15am bus I walked down to the bus station and found a bus sitting there. There was a schedule posted at the stop and it turns out that there is no 8:15am bus, instead it was at 7:45am. What the hell? I was feeling quite anxious to get home to get ready for the day. I didn't really want to hurry through the morning, but I don't know why I wanted so much time to get ready, because I don't really need it.
Home... changed... camera charging... charged... out the door for the 10:45am bus out of Wormingford to Colchester. Well, the road works and what not put me into the bus station a little late and Neil was sitting there waiting for me. Wicked. Game on! What we needed was lunch and our first beer. That's a quote that I wanted to get on tape, but sort of bottled out in my head, so it didn't happen.

First pint, Yates's, picture timestamped at 11:31am. Let's get it on! Neil and I sat and had lunch before walking to get some cash and to make it down to the train station to meet Lars & Aaron on the 12:50pm train to Liverpool Street Station.
Four beers picked up at the cafe at the train station for the lads, the first round was on me! If I remember correctly, which I do, because I was still sober, Lars was exceptionally loud on the train. I think his ears must have still been ringing, because his normal conversation voice was really loud and his conversation was quite filthy. Fuckin' this and fuck that with a little lubed up shit box for all the kids on the train. I was thinking to myself that we're gonna get a good mouthful from another passenger or someone. That wouldn't exactly be the best way to start the weekend, but we made it to the station okay. Result!
The motley crew we were to start our journey around London. Aaron, Lars, Neil and I started off to Oxford Circus on the tube to find Lars a straw hat. He thought he'd be able to find one at H&M (I think that's what it's called), but unfortunately, he wasn't successful.
More beer is required!
