Home Now...
Well, kidlets... the 10-hour flight has been concluded and I'm home in Langdon, a small suburb outside of Calgary, where my folks live. Remarkably, the flight wasn't too bad. I popped a sleeping aid pill to help me nod off and I was down and out before the plane lifted off the ground. Unfortunately, I was sat next to a very uninteresting person and that was just a visual observation... I didn't talk to this woman at all, but I just wanted to get some sleep. I think I managed about half the flight asleep. I had my MP3 player in my ear for most of the journey and that helped me sleep.
The flight journey came up over Iceland, Greenland, over the top bit of Hudson's Bay, through Nunavut & NWT, catching a bit of Manitoba & Saskatchewan and then over Edmonton and landing on the East-West runway at Calgary International Airport. We arrived about 17 minutes early due to a good tailwind for most of the journey. Giddy up!
Unfortunately, I won't have any pictures up on the site for a little bit as I am writing this on my old PC. My laptop has a UK plug and well, I don't have an adaptor yet, as I didn't get a chance to pick one up yet. My Dad picked me up, dropped me off at the house and went back to work for the day. Hopefully tomorrow I will have that all sorted, unless my AC Adaptor that I ordered on eBay finally shows up in the mail today. That'd be a bonus. Unfortunately, I still have to wait for my Mom to show up for the mailbox. Rubbish!
Anyways... it was a safe journey home, for all those wondering... time to unpack a bit. Get all my CDs sorted out and clear all the crap out of my room.
